Google’s Toy Story

Google Street View used in the short film Address is Approximate

This is an awesome short film about a toy robot going on an imagined adventure on a toy car with the help of other inanimate objects in an office room right after work hours. The description may sound dull but the video is nothing but superb.

The co-founder and director of UK-based media production company The Theory, Tom Jenkins, created this stop-motion video using Google Street View as story behind the toy’s adventure without any screen replacements. This was not a project with Google; rather it was a personal effort by Jenkins.

Shot using Canon 5d MkII, Dragonframe Stop Motion software and customized slider. Music by the wonderfull Cinematic Orchestra (cinematicorchestra.com) and the track is Arrival of the Birds.
