Canada Needs 1 Million Immigrants Per Year

English Bay, Vancouver BC

In order to keep Canada’s economic growth, the country needs a million new immigrants per year. However, the federal government does not have the resources to teach them English or French; it can’t also afford to increase health care and public education services that’s funded by taxpayers. There may also be problems arising from too many immigrants looking for housing.

According to the Citizenship and Immigration Department, about 30 percent of Canadian immigrants are economic migrants, those chosen for the necessary skills or arranged employment, 30 percent are spouse and dependent sponsored, 26 percent are family class immigrants while 14 percent are refugees.
