Microsoft makes WordPress.com its Default Blogging Platform

A blog post of the popular blogging portal, WordPress.com, has just announced that WordPress.com is now the default blogging platform for Windows Live Spaces users. The WordPress team is currently at work with Microsoft to create a simple migration service for Live Spaces bloggers so that they can bring all their posts, comments and photos to WordPress.com

Live Spaces users will have six months to have the option of moving their blogs to WordPress.com. In the light of this alliance or partnership, the WordPress team has created a new importer to ease the pain of moving to the new blogging platform. Also, as a default, new Live Spaces users will automatically use WordPress.com when they create a new blog.

In Messenger Connect, a “Publicize” button enables users to automatically share updates to a WordPress.com blog.
