Facebook Advertising 10-fold in One Year

As Facebook reaches the 500-million mark in registered users, advertising in the popular online social media networking site rose 10-times in the past year, Bloomberg Businessweek reports.

The social media site have maintained its prices while adding more features that benefit advertisers target the market in the half-a-billion membership website. Founded in 2002 by Harvard geek Mark Zuckerberg, the Palo Alto company was an unknown business in the online radar until its popularity kept ballooning over the years and sales began creating real income to the world’s biggest online social network. The popularity of Facebook is evident in the number of times its users visit the site: about half return to the site daily.
