Here is a list of investors, directors and management executives that lend a hand in steering Facebook to where it is today.

Mark Zuckerberg, CEO – 26-year-old Harvard dropout whose net worth is said to be north of $3 billion.

Sheryl Sandberg, COO – Former VP at Google and Chief of Staff for the United States Treasury.

Peter Thiel, Director – Co-founder of PayPal and Facebook’s first serious investor putting $500,000 angel investment in 2004.

Jim Breyer, Director – Gave Facebook its first serious venture-capital investment, dropping over $12 million into the company in 2005.

Marc Andreessen, Director – Netscape founder is the most recent person to join the Facebook board of directors.

Microsoft – The largest single investor in Facebook put in $240 million in 2007 for a mere 1.6% stake.

Li Ka-shing – The 79-year-old Hong Kong multibillionaire invested $60 million in 2007 and then another $60 million.

European Founders Fund – Facebook accepted a quiet and small $15 million (estimated) round of equity from this German group in 2008.

TriplePoint Capital – Provided $100 million in debt in 2008 without owning any equity.

Digital Sky Technologies – The most recent and curious investment in 2009 for $200 million in cash for 2% stake.
