Good News: Canadian Retail Inching Up

The NationalPost.com article say there’s still no urge for Canadians to splurge but retail sales rose 0.3% in the third straight month of gains but still down 4.6% from last year’s levels. However, the numbers in the western Provinces are terrible in terms of sales plunges: Alberta down by 1.8% and British Columbia by 1.4%, especially in gas stations, clothing, building and furniture centers.
